The holiday season is here, and the Helena Clay Arts Guild Holiday Store is the perfect place to find unique, handcrafted gifts! This year, we’re proud to showcase the work of over 60 local artists, offering beautiful pottery, ceramics, and art that you won’t find anywhere else.
From cozy mugs and elegant vases to festive ornaments and stunning home decor, each item is handmade with care and creativity. Plus, when you shop at our Holiday Store, you’re directly supporting local artists and the Helena arts community.

Wheel demonstrations will be offered outside.
Raffle every 30 minutes with donated pieces.
Follow the flow: Enter from the West Side door, explore the guild, purchase items in the hand building area, and enjoy refreshments and demos.

Beyond the Basics
Beyond the Basics Pottery Class : This class will include a review of the basics as a warm-up. From there, topics will include cylinders, jars, altered shapes, plates, casseroles, canisters and any other topic the attendees would like. The instructor will demo several times during each class. Demos will include alternative ways to center working with larger amounts of clay (a goal might be 2x the size you do currently), adding “coils”, using the doughnut method for just a few ideas. Everyone has their preferred methods and these are a few that work for this instructor and she will share those techniques. This is a four week class beginning on Tuesday, April 9th from 1000AM to 1PM and will end on Tuesday, April 30th. The class has room for four community members. Cost: Current Members $40.00, Non Members $120.00. If interested please contact the guild.
Beginning & Intermediate Throwing Class with Nita Shontz
A class to start new, or build on skills you have already. This class will reserve 4 spaces for non-members, if interested please use link to send inquiry or stop by the guild to sign up for this class. Class fees are $40 for members and $170 for non-members. Class is 8 weeks from 6pm to 9pm. Signup is at the guild. Class is filling up fast!
2023 ANNUAL HOLIDAY STORE
It’s coming! The Helena Clay Arts Guild is getting ready for their annual Holiday Store! This year’s store will be located in the Lundy Center next to Vans Thriftway. It will feature 45+ local ceramic artists selling their one of a kind beautiful creations. The store will open Friday, November 24 from 12-6PM daily, CLOSED Mondays. Come often as new stock arrives daily. See you there! Thank you for supporting our local arts and shopping local.

The annual meeting is a time for all members to get acquainted with each other, share food and beverages and enjoy each other’s company. It is also a time for you to attend a short board meeting and vote on the election of board members for the 2023-2024 year.

Helena Art Walk
After a long, two-year hiatus, the annual Spring Art Walk is back! Walk abound downtown on Friday, May 13th, from 4-8pm to support local businesses and artists — including members of the Guild.
